Left BackgroundText Box: Natural Air Regenerator Owner's Guide

Section 1:  SETTING UP your new Natural Air air regenerator

1. In the carton you'll find:
(1) Natural Air unit
(2) Power cord
(3) Remote control unit
(4) 2 AAA batteries for remote

2. Select the most suitable place to put your unit. (See note 1 below) We strongly suggest a location about 6 feet above the floor such as on a china case, top of bookshelves, and near the cold-air return of your home's air-conditioning unit. LEAVE A SPACE OF AT LEAST 3 INCHES BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE BACK OF YOUR UNIT so that it has proper air flow.

3. Plug into wall outlet (110-115V AC). If an extension cord is required, use only a cord to match that supplied with the unit.

4. Put batteries (2 AAA size) into remote.

5. Turn on machine by pushing "Power" button, on the unit or remote.

6. Using remote's arrow buttons, adjust regeneration level, then fan speed. We suggest setting the machine to its lowest regeneration level for the first 24 hours of operation. Adjust fan speed as desired. See Note 2.

Now step back a few feet from the front of the unit and sniff the mountain-fresh breeze coming from your Natural Air as it begins to freshen the room.

Study the suggested uses for your Natural Air unit on the attached pages.
Note 1: Where to place your Natural Air? For regular normal use (when you're not using it to clean your bathroom, closets, bedding, etc) we suggest the room where you and your family spend most of their time. If the room has a paddle (ceiling) fan, so much the better, it will help move Natural Air's regeneration elements into every nook and cranny. For multi-story houses, we suggest placement on the main or ground floor.

Note 2: Control Settings: Every home, every environment and every person is different, The various settings allow you to match regeneration level and fan speed to your environment and your use of the unit. You, your nose and your ears are the best judges of what settings are best. Your goal is a pleasant "fresh air" scent throughout the room at a fan speed that is minimally audible.

Using the Unit at Maximum level - The highest regeneration level. This setting can be used to deal with a specific problem area. Square feet/square meter are indicated on the control panel as a guideline for adjustment. We suggest you close off the room and leave the immediate area while the unit is operating at this level.

Section 2: Maintaining your Natural Air for best performance
KEEP YOUR NATURAL AIR EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE

Your Natural Air, air regenerator requires so little care that it's easy to forget the simple maintenance procedures that will keep it running at top efficiency and effectiveness. Just follow the simple steps below and your Natural Air will keep delivering cleansing and mountain-fresh air for years.

Every four to six weeks:
Visually inspect the two screens at the back of the unit. If you see evidence that they are becoming clogged with dust bunnies, pet hair, etc., simply brush or vacuum the accumulation of dust from the screen using a soft bristle brush (a small paint brush is ideal).

Once a year (or more frequently in heavy or oily smoke environments), remove the screens to visually inspect and/or clean the generating plates inside.

       a. IMPORTANT! Before doing the following, disconnect the power by pulling the plug from the wall socket.

       b. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws holding each screen in place.

       c. Remove and clean each screen by brushing. If there is an oily residue, wash gently with dish-washing soap and rinse clean under a faucet. Set each screen aside to drain and dry.

       d. Visually inspect the two generators, one on each side of the unit. These are thin, cream colored, rectangular ceramic "plates," approximately 1 3/4" by 3". If they appear coated with dust, carefully remove them, clean with ammonia and water, rinse them in running water and let them dry before re-installing. Caution: don't bend or drop them on a hard surface, as they may break. Do not put wet or moist plates back into the unit!

       f. To replace ozone generators:
              (1) With your fingers on the back of the unit, use your thumb to pull the closest metal power tab slightly aside and, with the other hand, gently slide the generator back into its mounting slots. Make sure that the generator plate is in both the inner and outer slots.

              (2) Lift the tip of the plastic "hold-down" up and over the generator plate so that it seats in the notch.

              (3) Visually check that the metal power tabs on each side are firmly touching the screens.

       g. Replace the cleaned and dried outer screens. Fit the screen by sliding the front tapered edge behind the outer casing, then swing the back into place so that the screen depresses the inner safety switch. Insert and tighten "gently snug" the two screws holding each screen in place.

       h. Wipe the outer case with a clean, damp cloth (please, no chemical, soap sprays, acetone or alcohol), replace the power plug into the wall receptacle, and turn your Natural Air back on.

Wasn't that simple? So easy you'll probably never need to refer to these instructions again.

Important Note: The generator screens are the only user-maintained elements within the Natural Air case. Removing or loosening any other element is totally unnecessary and will void all warranties.
